Charles BEAN Obituary



BEAN, Charles Aubrey
Died, peacefully, at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge, at the age of 85, on Tuesday, February 8, 2000. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Doris Anne (Bradshaw); his sister, Frances Breithaupt; brother, Walter Bean and son-in-law, Douglas Smith. Cherished father of Michael Bean (Mary Ann) of Guelph, Diane Bean of Cambridge, Sally Seibert of Cambridge and Martha Brown (Foster) of Mississauga; stepfather of Diane, John and Charles Duffield; lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Michael (Carolyn), David (Elizabeth) and Christopher Bean and Marcia LaRoue (Patrick) and Jeffrey (Lisa), Steven and Derek Seibert, Katie and David Brown and nine great-grandchildren; also survived by his loving brother, Wilfrid Bean (Lorain) of Guelph. Aubrey served in the Second World War as a Captain with the Highland Light Infantry in the U.K., France and Belgium. He was a partner with his father in Bean Insurance Agency; a lifetime member of the President's Club of Great West Life; an active member of the Church of St. John the Evangelist; a Kitchener Public School Trustee; a longtime member of the Kitchener Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and Westmount Golf and Country Club. A memorial service will be held at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 23 Water St. N. (at Duke Street), Kitchener at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2000. Funeral arrangements with the RatzBechtel Funeral Home, 519-745-9495. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of St. John the Evangelist.
