William Dugan Obituary

William J. "Billy" Dugan Jr., 60, of Trafford, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, in his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Billy was born Jan. 25, 1949, in Wilkinsburg, the son of the late William J. Sr. and Barbara (Balkovec) Dugan. Billy was currently employed with the Port Authority of Allegheny County as a scheduler. He was a member of St. Regis Church, Trafford, a graduate of Trafford High School Class of 1966, an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan, a member of the AOH Division 17 of Monroeville, a social member of both the Larimer Fire Department Social Club and the St. John Kanty Lodge (Polish Club), Trafford, and an avid golfer and member of the Trafford and Dirty Dozen Golf Leagues. Billy is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Burtoft) Dugan; his children, Danielle Brink and husband, Daniel, of Trafford, William J. Dugan III and wife, Marci, of Trafford, Janet Panza and husband, Anthony, of Penn Township, and Patrick Dugan and wife, Luann, of Trafford. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Daniel, Shaleah, Nathan and Emily Brink, Billy, McKenna and Connor Dugan, Ryan and Reaghan Panza, Ashley, Shane, Robbie and Brittney Dugan; and his sisters, Barbara Ann Dugan, of Trafford, and Mary Dugan, of Greensburg. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 7th St., Route 130, Trafford, 412-372-3111. Parting prayers will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Regis Church with Father James D. Tringhese as celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum.
