Carly Marie Kudray, 18, of Delmont, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born May 15, 1992, in Greensburg, the beloved daughter of Jeffrey A. Kudray, of Export, and Veronica M. (Campbell) Kudray, of Delmont. Carly graduated in 2010 from Greensburg Salem High School. She was proud to become a member of the National Honor Society, achieving a perfect 4.0 average and she served as captain of the majorettes. She was recently accepted to Penn State University and was preparing to attend college where she planned to pursue a career as an elementary school teacher. She was going to continue her Spanish studies, with the hope of also teaching Spanish. She was employed as a hostess by Rick's Sports Bar and Pub, Export. She was a baton teacher with the Salem Twirlers majorettes. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, John Kudray; and maternal grandfather, Thomas Campbell. Carly is survived by her loving family, her father, Jeffrey and his girlfriend, Denise Clawson, and mother, Veronica and her boyfriend, Rick Geisweidt; brother, J.T. Kudray, of Delmont; paternal grandmother, Ann Marie (Bush) Kudray, of White Valley; maternal grandmother, Dolores (Pollich) Campbell, of Chapel Hill, N.C.; aunts and uncles, Jack Kudray and his wife, Kathy, of Irvine, Calif., Elizabeth Campbell and her husband, Eric Lassiter, of Charleston, W.Va., Christopher Campbell and his wife, Peggy, of Ashburn, Va., and Jennifer Lyons and her husband, Scott, of Wallingford; cousins, Lisa Payne and her husband, Chris, Kate, Sam and Abby Lyons and Taylor Determan. She will be especially missed by her faithful friend, her dog, Belle. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. Blessing service for Carly will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with graveside services at 2:30 p.m. in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Father Ken Zaccagnini, of Sr. Barbara's Catholic Church, Harrison City, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, Carly's family requests memorial contributions to be made to the Greensburg Salem High School Spanish Club.
