Mario L. Marcon, 81, of Harrison City, passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Feb. 28, 1933, in Harrison City, a son of the late Cleto and Angela Lovetell Marcon. Prior to his retirement, Mario was employed by Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the Army. Mario was a member of the Ascension Church, Jeannette, where he served as an altar server, was a member of the church's Holy Name Society and Senior Citizens Group. He was a member of the M and S Club, where he served as treasurer for many years, and its bocce league, the Jeannette Italian Club and its bocce league, the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1222, all of Jeannette, the Bushy Run American Legion and the Hillview Seniors Bowling League. In addition to his parents, Mario was predeceased by two brothers, Cleto Marcon Jr. and Jake Marcon; and a sister, Angeline Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Teresa DiCresce Millhouse Marcon; a stepson, Richard Millhouse Sr. and wife, Virginia, of West Virginia; two grandchildren, Richard Millhouse Jr. and wife, Jennifer, and Katherine Givins and husband, Rob; four great-grandchildren, Xavier, Cash, Colt and Gavin; two sisters, Beatrice Lapina, of Jeannette, and Emma DeVitis, of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. As per Mario's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Ascension Church, 615 Division St., Jeannette, with Father Joseph Sredzinski as celebrant. Entombment with military honors accorded by the Jeannette Combined Veterans will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum, Delmont. The JOHN V.
