Mark R. Schmeling, 49, of Latrobe, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. He was born June 13, 1962, in Johnstown, a son of the Rev. William D. and Sandra H. Anderson Schmeling, of Latrobe. He owned and operated Mark's Auto Repair in Latrobe. In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his wife, Lydia J. Stickle Schmeling; a son, Mark R. Schmeling and his wife, Kristen, of Derry; a daughter, Holly E. Shaw, of Latrobe; two brothers, John A. Schmeling and his wife, Lynn, of New Albany, Ohio, and Matthew T. Schmeling and his wife, Rosanne, of Latrobe; a sister, Elizabeth A. and her husband, James Grassman, of Gahanna, Ohio; two grandchildren, Madison and Mia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bethany United Methodist Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. August B. Twigg officiating. McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 300 W.
