Mike Ross Obituary

Mike A. Ross Jr., 72, of Greensburg, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, in his home. He was born Oct. 8, 1930, in Greensburg, a son of the late Michael Sr. and Colomba (Lombardi) Ross. Prior to retirement, he had been the owner of Ross Auto Sales. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, a member of VFW Post 33, American Legion Post 981 and a life member of the B.P.O.E. #511, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Musgrove; and two sisters, Christine Iarussi and Jenny Ross. Surviving are a son, Michael Ross III and his wife, Vickie, of Greensburg; two daughters, Deborah Strautman and her husband, Randy, of Aiken, S.C., and Jennifer Prohaska, of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Justin Michael Ross, Michael John Ross, Stephanie Elizabeth Prohaska and Stephen William Prohaska; a great-grandson, Skylar Michael Falbo Ross; a brother, Roccie Ross and his wife, Shirley, of Greensburg; five sisters, Mary Petrill, Julia Bononi, Helen Policastro and her husband, Ben, Angie Sassos and Phyllis Damico and her husband, Sam, all of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A military service provided by VFW Post 33 Elite Honor Guard will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 8:50 a.m. Prayers will follow at 9 a.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Interment will be private. Family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 1011 Old Salem Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
