Nicholas Adam "Nick" Tarasky, 28, of Scottdale, passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 13, 2014, at his residence. Nick was born April 17, 1985, in Virginia Beach, Va., a son of Deborah Ann (Clites) Tarasky, of Monongahela, and Michael Anthony Tarasky Sr. and his wife, Carmen, of New Stanton. Nick was a graduate of Southmoreland High School Class of 2003 and received a degree in welding from WCCC in Youngwood. He worked as a certified welder for JF Shea Tunnel Division, Mt. Pleasant, and was active with Church of God, serving as staff and counselor at Camp Sonrise in Markleysburg. Nick enjoyed hunting, shooting, mountain-biking, BMX and motorcycles. He was also a member of the Polish American Club (PAK) in Everson. He also liked hanging out and assisting at Greg Bauer's Auto. In addition to his parents, Nick will be sadly missed by his fiancee, Malory White; his brother, Michael A. Tarasky Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, and daughter, Lilliana, of Scottdale; his sister, Katelyn E. Tarasky, her fiance, Eric Gales, and daughter, Haylee, of Mt. Pleasant; his paternal grandmother, "Grannie" Mary D. (Bodnar) Tarasky, of Mt. Pleasant; his pet pit bull "Grand Dog" Hoss Blue Tarasky; and many loving family and friends. Nick was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Walter E. Tarasky Sr.; and his maternal grandmother, Dora M. Clites.
