Rose M. Hauser

Rose Marie (Skovira) Hauser, 56, of Latrobe, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital. Born July 26, 1967, in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late Regis Edgar Skovira. Rose was a dedicated registered nurse at Select Specialty Hospital and previously at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She devoted her life to taking care of others and had a wonderful sense of humor. She also owned and operated Dippin Delicious, specializing in custom strawberries. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Skovira. Rose is survived by her husband of 23 years, Joseph M. Hauser, of Latrobe; one son, Joseph R. Hauser and his wife, Danelle, of Derry; one brother, Jeffrey L. Skovira and his wife, Linda, of Morgantown, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Samantha Dias; nieces and nephews, Tesla, Jody, Jeffrey, Joetta, Clarence, Steven, Ryan, Karla, Courtney and Cassie; and her beloved dogs, Zukie and Ebbie. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME LLC, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral liturgy will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
