Thomas F. Whitehead, 59, of Jeannette, went to be with his heavenly father on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014. He was born March 16, 1955, in McKeesport, a son of the late James and MaryKay Whitehead. Tom was a truck driver and was employed by the Smith Transportation Co. Tom enjoyed golfing, cooking on the grill and model trains. He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha Sarsfield Whitehead; a stepdaughter, Julie Maystrovich, of Jeannette; a stepson, Joseph Maystrovich and fiancee, Vicky Bell, of Greensburg; brothers, James Whitehead and wife, Margaret, of New Port Beach, Calif., William Whitehead and wife, Jayne, of Pickerington, Ohio, John Whitehead and wife, Anna, of North Huntingdon, and Robert Whitehead, of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother-in-law, Robert T. Sarsfield and wife, Janet, of Greensburg; a sister-in-law, Patricia Brunner and husband, Dale, and their son, Michael Noska and Erin, all of Jeannette; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the physicians, nurses and staffs of the different facilities where Tom was attended to during his illness. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to the time of service at 6 p.m. Sunday in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, PA 15644. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
