Wayne E. Arnold, 82, of Murrysville, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. He was born Dec. 12, 1931, in New Castle, son of the late Everett and Eva Montgomery Arnold. He was a retired electrical engineer for Westinghouse with more than 30 years of service and he developed a number of patents over the years. His main hobby was stone sculpturing and he won numerous awards. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Arnold, in 2002; a sister, Bernetta Long; and a brother, Addison Arnold. Wayne is survived by his wife, Mafalda Russo Arnold; a son, Randall (Joyce) Arnold, of Murrysville; five grandchildren, Robert (Sammantha) Arnold, Jason Arnold, Laura (James) Gavlick, Andrew Arnold and Amanda Arnold; a great-grandson, Aiden W. Arnold; and two brothers, Karl and Quentin Arnold, of Calif. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. Additional visitation is from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday in the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday. A chapel committal service will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Vitus Cemetery, New Castle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. http://www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com.
