Anna Mae Smith, 83, of Vandergrift, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 28, 2013, passing in Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights. Born Sept. 1, 1929, in Indiana, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Albert and Malissa Johnson Guy. Anna Mae had been employed by various local families as a housekeeper. She was a member of Kings Deliverance Holiness Church, in North Vandergrift, where she was the mother of the church. She enjoyed working puzzles and watching name game shows, but her true love was the Lord and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William Smith, of Vandergrift; three sons, Richard (Dawn) Smith, of Leechburg, William Albert (Allie) Smith and Mark Anthony "Flash" Smith, both of Vandergrift; a daughter, Malissa Ann "Missy" (William Cochran) Smith, of Vandergrift; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Lipkins, of Dayton, Ohio; and three brothers, Rance Guy, of Texas, Edward Guy, of Dayton, Ohio, and Daniel Guy, of Penn Hills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Curtis William Smith and Randy "Fruitpie" Smith; two brothers, Albert Guy and Nathaniel Guy; and two sisters, Naomi Burger and Deloris Brooks. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the DUNMIRE-KERR-ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in New Life Baptist Church, Apollo, with the Rev. Andrea Morman officiating. Interment will be in Vandergrift Cemetery.
