Gail I. Marangoni

1951 - 2023

Gail I. (Smoyer) Marangoni, 71, of Kiski Township, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, in AHN-Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born June 26, 1951, in Kiski Township, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Rittenbaugh) Smoyer. Gail was a 1969 graduate of Apollo High School and lived in Kiski Township all of her life. She was a homemaker, and worked for a few years at the former Steiner's Drapery Factory in Saltsburg. Gail was a life member of the Roaring Run Watershed Association and volunteered at the Food Bank at St. James Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and most loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Gail is survived by her husband of 50 years, Marino J. Marangoni; sons, Charles J. (Melissa) Marangoni, of Wexford, and Vincent A. (Joan) Marangoni, of Washington Township; grandchildren, Katherine, Emily, Adaleine, Viola and Olyvia Marangoni; brother, Edwin (Linda) Smoyer, of Kiski Township; and several nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, all services are private, and have been entrusted to the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC.
