Isaura Luz Lugo de Figueroa July 29, 1925 - December 28, 2015 Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister. Isaura Figueroa was born on July 29, 1925 in San German, Puerto Rico to Jesus and Eusebia Lugo. She was the 8th of 9 children. Our Mom told stories of a happy childhood spent with her loving family. She was an avid dancer and led a very social life in the tropics. On September 20, 1947 she married Regulo Figueroa in San German, Puerto Rico. Together with their four daughters they enjoyed the military life, living in Panama, Puerto Rico, California, Alaska, and Washington state 4 times! After 31 years in the service, they decided to retire in Washington state because Mom loved it here. As we grew up, Mom decided to become a Red Cross Volunteer at Madigan Army Medical Center. She did this for 29 years. She made a lot of friends, and people just loved her warm smile, sense of humor, and helpful attitude. Between Mom and Dad, they served the Federal Government for 82 years. The Greatest Generation! Preceded in death by her husband, Regulo Figueroa, she is survived by her four daughters, Norma Carlin (John), Linda Hagerich (Lynn), Myra Trucco (Kevin), and Brenda Richardson (Rob), nine grandchildren, Melinda Bloch (Jamey), Emily Carlin (Ty), Adam Cuturilo (Michelle), Larry Cuturilo (Toni), Marko Cuturilo, Marcello Trucco, Maria Trucco, Alexis Trucco, and Erik Trucco, 3 great-grandchildren, Zachary Bloch, Ashlyee Bloch, and Jordyn Bloch, and her sister, Norma Irizarry, of Orlando, FL. The most important job for our Mom was being a mother to us four girls. She did everything for us with unconditional love. She and Dad were the most loving, dedicated parents any child could hope for. Their love for family was job number one! They will be missed forever. Our comfort is knowing that they are in Heaven now, watching over us until we meet again... A memorial service will be held January 8, 2016 at 1:00pm at Calvary Cemetery, Visitation Chapel, with a reception to follow at the family home. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
