Maureen Rocchi Obituary
March 27, 1935 - June 19, 2023
San Jose, California - Maureen Ferry Agnes Rocchi 88, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2023, in Fairfield. She was born to Kathryn and Martin Hendricks on March 27, 1935, in Tacoma Washington. She lived in Puyallup with her 3 siblings Chuck Hendricks (Polly), Bill Hendricks (Carol) and Jim Hendricks (Lorraine) along with friends and family some from the "old" country. Maureen attended Riverside Elementary School in Puyallup and graduated from St Leo High School in Tacoma in 1953. She met and married Ted Quinley in Reno on October 24, 1954. They moved to Fort Huachuca Arizona and started their family of 6 children. On March 1, 1975, Maureen married Julian Rocchi (Rocky) and moved to San Jose where she made her family home for 48 years.
Maureen had a passion for hosting celebrations for her family and friends, her door was always open. She also enjoyed traveling.
Maureen is preceded in death by Rocky, Ted, daughter Jennifer Demetrus and stepdaughter Julie Rocchi, her brothers Chuck, Bill and her best friends Julie Lee and Jackie Bates. She leaves her children Suzie Q Stream (Walt), Timmi Lemen (Ray), Jimmy Quinley, Kelly Q LaRue (Rod), Ted Quinley and her stepson Toby Rocchi. She also leaves her adored grandchildren, Chris Stream (Stacy), Katie Bruhn (Charlie), Magen Chicovsky (Jason), Teara Lemen, Leon Lemen (Rebekah), Amanda Van Leer (Ian), Dusty Demetrus, Vanessa Demetrus, Nancy Quinley, Sarah Quinley Arminio (Alberto) and step grandchildren Michael LaRue and Nicole Rocchi. She can also boast of 14 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way. She also leaves her son from another Mother Scott Proud.
Maureen's Celebration of Life (Hoolie) will be held Saturday July 29 at 2pm with dinner at 4pm in Winters CA at the Green River Brewing and Taproom. A private family Interment will be on July 31, 2023, in Santa Clara CA.
