From John McCarthy

I am very saddened by Uncle Pats passing. I remember vividly the stories he told as a conductor for the railroads. They instilled in me a love of travel that has never gone away. I remember in earlier times coming to Pat and Melbas house and the sweet smell of the cherry pipe tobacco he used to smoke. He was very fond of the family reunions and always took time to speak with all of us even when we were children. He was always such a kind hearted soul. Unfortunately I am in Baltimore Maryland managing a union strike situation and will not be able to attend the funeral. Please pass my sincere condolences along to Melba ,Patty, and Jim and let them know how disappointed I am not to be able to be there for them during this sad time.

Thanks ...John McCarthy

From Fred and Shannon

I'm sorry to hear about Uncle Pat's passing. He and my dad enjoyed each other's company. Lot's of laughter, stories, and family get-togethers come to mind.
We are on the road to Idaho to see Shannon's mom.
Can you give us Melba's address?
We will send our prayers and condolences but won't be able to come to the funeral.
