SUSANNE DAVIDSON Obituary

Susanne Louise Davidson Sue Davidson passed away at St. Joseph's on December 21 after a 3-year battle with cancer. Susanne Louise McGuire was born on July 8, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA to Louis and Anne McGuire. Survivors include husband Robert (Milt) Davidson of Steilacoom, daughters DeAnne Davidson-Kuyper (Rich) of Lakewood, Kathy Gatti (John) of Bath, Maine, and Linda Spurling (Dave) of Lakewood, and sister Jeanette McGuire Bugg (Gary) and nieces Lisa Fulbright and Michelle Pitman of Wichita, Kansas. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Samantha and Julianne Wlazlak and Steve Spurling. Sue's family moved to Seattle in 1943, where she attended Roosevelt High School and Seattle University. She and Milt were married in Seattle in 1957, then spent six months in Packwood while Milt was with the U.S. Forest Service. They later moved to Seattle, where Sue became a Paraprofessional with the Shoreline School District. Upon retirement, they moved to Steilacoom and lived in the Davidson family home. Her sense of humor was well-known and prevailed to the very end. Sue was involved in many Steilacoom activities: the Steilacoom Historical Museum Association, Steilacoom Garden Club, Questers--Chloe Clark Chapter, NAWCC Clock Club-- Chapter 135, as well as serving on the Steilacoom Park Board. Remembrances may be made to the Steilacoom Historical Museum Assoc. (SHMA), Steilacoom Garden Club, or Breast Cancer Resource Center of Tacoma. We are so sorry for your loss. Sue was such a gracious and caring person. She always had a kind word or a comical comment that seemed to be helpful in lifting my spirits. She will be missed.
