Bert ALBERT

ALBERT, Bert peacefully passed away on July 11, 2018 at the age of 91, with family by his side. He joins his beloved wife, Carol, who passed in 2004. Bert is survived by children, Marcy (Anne), Janet and Paul, as well as "adopted" children, Jo, Damien, Lorraine and Phil; grandchildren, Noah, Amanda and Aubree and great-granddaughter, Payton. Bert was born May 28, 1927 in NYC. Having grown up in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx, Bert graduated from NYU, attending thanks to the GI Bill. Bert was an insurance executive, with his work taking him from New York, to Florida and ultimately to Wilton, Connecticut. While in Connecticut Bert and his wife, Carol acted in many theater productions in Connecticut, as well as New York and Martha's Vineyard. Bert and Carol made their retirement home in Tucson in 1993. Bert was very active in the Tucson community, volunteering in the Sheriff's Department, the Arizona Historical Society, Arizona Theater Company, and as a "patient" at University Medical Center for first year medical students. Bert was an avid tennis player and golfer, participating in a weekly golf group called The Grumpy Old Men. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, September 23, 2018 at The Loft Cinema.
