On this day, 45 years ago. Dr. Crowe saved my daughter's life by performing a surgical procedure which was only performed twice before in NYC. Each year for many years I would send him a thank-you. He lived a good life and contributed so much to the medical field and his patients. We lived in Tucson at the time and were from PA. I will always remember him on this day. He was special and I am sure he has a special place in Heaven.

I met Dr. Crowe when he operated on a very sick baby and I was a scrub nurse. He saw me in the hallway where I was holding the tiniest and very sick crying baby who was about to go into surgery. He asked me if I liked the baby and I replied "I love this baby!" He said, "Well, she's up for adoption are you interested?" I immediately say "Yes!" He said, okay, I'll go make some calls. I realized I had not talked to my husband, but in a quick call he said "Yes!" Dr. Crowe gave us an incredible miracle that day, a baby for us to raise and is now in her 30s doing well *because* he gave her the care she needed! I can never thank him enough. Heaven has a place for you, I'm sure, Dr.Crowe.

Dr. "Pete" Crowe and I were the two surgeons on the carrier USS Lexington in 1956 in the Western Pacific. I am saddened to find his
Obituary, when I had looked forward to finding him in Tucson in the past years. I would like to contact his wife Franny or any descendents
to share some wonderful tales about this great humanitarian and excellent physician.

Dear Fran, One year has not diminished our thoughts and remembrance of Dr. Crowe. The thought of him is ever present in our hearts. When we look at our beautiful Kimberly we know having her for these past 47 years is because we were blessed to have Dr. Crowe on our side. Without him she would not have survived. We will never forget him. God Bless You

Dear Franny,
I just learned of Peter's graduation to be with our Lord. Now he and Jay can share in that joy.
I remember our talks about our Lord, and pray now for His comfort for you and the family, and may your beautiful memories of a truly kind and gentle man uplift you.
Sincerely, with love,

Mrs. Crowe,
Dr. Crowe was my inspiration to pursue a career as a pediatric surgeon. I had so much respect for him that I never was able to use his first name. He was a giant to me and I will never forget his unqualified support. I wish you all good things in the future and please know that Dr. Crowe touched many, many lives, as he did my own.

Dear Franny and family,
I am saddened to learn of Peter's death. He lived a long, full life of giving to his patients and his family. I have thought of you two often and have missed the friendship that Nancy and I and Peter and you had for so many years.
I would love to communicate with you further and will try at the address that I still have.
May our Dear Lord hold you close and bring you peace at such a loss. Fondly, Howard

Dear Franny, I was saddened to learn that we have lost Peter, although he will always be with us every time we think of him. I have known him from his CHP years and the time when we formed APSA. In many ways, the two of you were pioneers. My wife, Susan and I always enjoyed seeing you and Peter at APSA meetings over the years as well as times we visited Tucson. We wish you peace and contentment in the months ahead with time to enjoy your many grandchildren. We send our love.

My 3 week old son was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis. I had just returned from acupuncture training and we were broke without medical insurance at the time. Dr Crowe took my son on as a 'teaching patient' and told us 'not to worry about it.' A talented man of few words with a very big heart.

Dr Crowe was my 2 week old sons surgeon. It was such terrifying time, and he was so reassuring. Not sure I ever really thanked him, but want to tell his family how much he helped my son - now 36!

I am honored to have worked with Dr. Crowe many times in my NICU career. Extraordinary peds surgeon and cowboy gentleman all rolled into one. Enjoy the new ride.
Many hugs and love to Franny and family.
