John's passed on to greener pastures. A Tucson native, Wetmore and Amphitheater alumni. Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Jessie; grandmother, Jessie-Wheeler; sister, Charlotte. Survived by wife, Rhea; sister, Pam; brother, Sam; daughters, Jacquelyn and Kendall (Chaz); niece, Morgan; nephews, Sam and Nick; adopted children, Lindsey and Mason; also grandfather of 12. Services: Saturday, December 14, 2019, 10:00 a.m., ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel. Celebration reception following services.

American Fleet has taken care of my three family cars for 12 years and has helped maintain our work vehicles for many more years than that. Between all the vehicles we have in their care, I am in the shop at least monthly. Although I have gotten to know many of the guys at the shop, John was the main face of American Fleet for all the years we have been their customer.
Around the garage, I jokingly refer to myself as American Fleet's favorite client. Though, I really do feel this way, and I'll bet many of their other customers feel the same as I do. We feel this way because of the incredible warmth, sincerity, and sweet nature that John exuded every day.
To John, we were more than clients, we were his friends. We were his friends because he genuinely cared for us and showed it every time we saw his smiling face and heard his friendly, Hello. My visits to American Fleet would often times last 20 minutes or more. About two minutes would be making arrangements for the needed repair, then the rest of the time would be catching up with John, talking about our families, lives, and any recent newsworthy events.
It was welcome point of any day to see John and be with him. He will be missed by me and the many other clients who he made into friends and thereby made our lives more special for knowing him.

Condolences to John's Family and friends. Met John thru the Telephone company's fleet contracts. Always a friend, willing to help out, a passion for his business, good to the employees. Helped me out personally many times and I am forever grateful for having known this man. rest in peace my friend.

I only met John once but felt I knew him through his sister Pam, who loved him dearly. Prayers for everyone who loved him and I feel so sad for all of you...
