Gerald Hartley Obituary
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy Davis Hartley of Montgomery, Ala.; his three children, G. Wade Hartley Jr. (Tracey) of Montgomery, Ala., Davis B. Hartley (Katie) of Montgomery. Ala. and Shannan H. Bickerstaff (Tyler) of Charleston, S.C.; and his six beloved grandchildren, William, Paul and Hartley Bickerstaff and Pierson, Davis and James Hartley.
A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala., with a visitation to follow at the church. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2016, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Tuscaloosa, Ala. with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

So sorry for your loss. Gerald was a wonderful man. I really learned a lot from him when I worked for him in District Counsel's office in the late 70s/early 80s. My prayers are with the entire family.

So sorry to hear. I worked with Gerald (or, Mr. Hartley, as we were supposed to call him at the time) back in the late 70s and early 80s in IRS Counsel in Birmingham. He was a great person and a terrific attorney. My condolences to the entire family.
