Alexander W. Wimmer

"Al" Age 82 Of Woodbury and formerly of St. Paul, died peacefully on June 27, 2012 at home surrounded by family. Preceded in death by brother, Donald; brothers-in-law, Jim Nilsson, Clarence Nohava and LeRoy Johnson. Survived by loving wife, Agnes; sons, Rick (Pat) and Jim; grandchildren, Christine (fiancée Bill Maurer), David, Lisa (Jeff) Beckenbach and Claire; great grandchildren, Aurora and Aubrey Beckenbach; sisters, Joanne (Wayne) Jensen and Dorothy Nohava; sister-in-law, Mary Popelka; along with many loving nieces and nephews. Al was born December 5, 1929 in St. Paul and grew up in the Frogtown and Pine City, MN areas. He graduated from Mechanic Arts High School. Al and Agnes were married on May 13, 1950 and have shared many wonderful years together. He worked for the Great Northern Railroad, Equitable Insurance and Prudential Insurance. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Monday, July 2, 2012 at LUMEN CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH (2055 Bohland Ave., St. Paul). Visitation 4-7 PM Sunday at O'HALLORAN AND MURPHY FUNERAL HOME (575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul) 651-698-0796, and also one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
