Chuck wrote poetry so I thought it would only be proper to write one for him....

When a flower gets no rain,
Its petals will begin to wilt.
When snows cover the plain
The flower must wait for it to melt
The flower dies but the roots remain
That's a flower playing what it was dealt

I, like the flower have roots to stay alive
When times are good, I will flower and strive.

When times are bad I wither and go away,
But with some sun, I will blossom another day.

Like seasons to a flower my depression comes and goes.
how long until the next rain? no one really knows

that's why sometimes im quiet....just waiting for the rain

Chuck, you are someone I can never forget
so very glad that we, in this life met
your wisdom and storys in my heart forever
what you said was always was wise and clever

about life, you knew so much
and my heart, you truly touched
you reminded so much of of my dad
the wisdom, storys and personalitys that you both had

i sit and cry missing you now
to take life for granted, I will not, here is my vow
to live life to the very fullest I can
miss you much, you were a great man

to take life by the horns and take control
on the highway to heaven you now roll
you'll meet my dad up there one day
he'll show you the ropes and where to play

sitting up on a cloud looking down
i know if you saw me cry'n you'd frown
i know you'd want us all to sit and smile
and think of the good times, you were here for a short while

So one your journey to the great heavens above
just remember the people here and all our love
We all will remember our great Uncle Chuck
I now have an angel to sit on my shoulder and wish me luck.

Chuck- You'll be missed big guy!! You touched the hearts of so many without even knowing it and in those hearts your memory will always be held dear. I will always remember you singing karoke on my 21st b-day singing "Gimme 3 Steps". You were so happy that night and you made me even happier. Thanks for the great memory, I will never forget that, you made my birthday very special. You have always reminded me of my dad(who passed away). You both were great men and now can be pals in heaven. You left behind a lot of people who's hearts are hurting, but not to worry, we all will remember our good times with you and hold them close to our hearts. Thanks for all the good memorys, storys and wisdom. Rock on with your bad a** self Chuck, I will never forget you. See you when I get there, til then smile and look down on us and keep us all safe. We all need an angel like you to look over us.

Dear Sherrie, Thank you for letting us know about Chuck. My family and I were so sad about his death. We worried about him all the years we didn't know where he had gone. I am so thankful for the day we had at the Mall of American. I was amazed that he had grown to be such a big man. I think God made him big so he could take care of hisself. I am so happy he got in touch with us and we were able to get reacquainted. It really meant a lot to me. I have lots of memories of him when he was young and he and Pete came to our house. We were so happy also to meet you, we hope you will keep in touch. We send our love and prayers.

BOBBIE spent time in Mason City where we spent time together. He was a fine man, from great parents Charles Robert and Caroline Skaggs.

Bob was a lost family member. That we had found in Mpls. 90 miles away and just a couple of miles from my son Todd who ran Roadrunner Records in Mpls. Bob grew up with my brother Pete Bowers of Mason City Illinois. It was great to be with Bob. We called him Bobbie when he was younger. Bob's dad and my mother were best of friends Caroline, Bob's wife also became one of our family. When Bob and Sherry moved to Lindstrom Bob called me and forgot to leave his phone number. Judy and I spent considerable time trying to find their new phone number.

Bob will be greatly missed by us.

Anyone that knew uncle Chuck will miss him. He kept everyone at heart even if he hadent seen ya for awhile. The kids still ask for Chuck to come on Christmas and play Santa or just for him to stop by. He always made time for the kids. Even when he dident dress up as Santa he would still come and drop off gifts on christmas eve when we were gone. the kids never knew till 2 years ago who that Santa was. We Love you Uncle and will miss you alot. Love, Dennis,Karey,Drew, and Asha

I met both Chuck and Sherry for the first time on June 14 - to be around them was a party. Although I only knew Chuck a very short time, my husband and I both took an immediate liking to him - he seemed to be very happy and very, very upbeat!
