Nels Nelson Obituary

Age 59 Of Edina, MN Survived by wife of 27 years, Kathy; sons, Karl Nelson (fiancee Victoria Boughton) and Joseph Nelson; mother, Pauline Donaldson; sisters, Carol Heiden and Martha Nelson; brother, Eric Nelson. Preceded in death by father, Bernard Nelson. Nels spent his career at Barr Engineering and in recent years served as the Chairman of the board. He was an active member of Christ Presbyterian Church. He was well respected and loved and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and co-workers. Visitation 6-8 PM Thursday at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, W. 50th St & Hwy 100, Edina. Funeral service 2 PM Friday with visitation beginning at 1 PM, Christ Presbyterian Church, West 70th St. at Hwy 100, Edina. Private interment. Memorials preferred to American Brain Tumor Association or Pierre High School Fran Ruzick Debate Team Travel Fund. Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel 952-920-3996 West 50th St. & Hwy 100

Kathy,Joe and Karl, As with everyone we are extremely saddened at the passing of Nels. He was a wonderful man and i only wished we could have spent more time together.
