William Nass Obituary

William George Nass, 77, passed away at his home in Kirtland, Nov. 18, 2013, after a sudden illness.
Bill was born April 29, 1936, in Willoughby and was raised in Wickliffe, graduating from Wickliffe High School with the class of 1954. Kirtland has been his home for the last 53 years.
As a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, he served on the Outreach Committee inviting the community to church. He attended Ohio University where he was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity and was a avid follower of the OU Marching 110 . He loved to play golf and enjoyed fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed his time spent with his family, grandchildren, and his dog "Tucker".
He was a salesman for the Hillis Equipment Company for 40 years retiring in 1998.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Donna Nass (nee Tews); his sons, William "Bill" Nass and his wife, Tammy of Alma, Mich.,and Doug Nass of Chardon; his daughter, Rhonda Youngblade and her husband, Alan of Centennial, Colo.; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his sister and her husband, Milan and Martha Nass of North Olmsted.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 11900 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. George Zehnder, pastor of St. Mark, will officiate. Burial will follow at Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Hts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Building Hope in the City, 2031 West 30 St., Cleveland, Ohio 44113 or the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
