James Maloney Obituary
He was born in Lynn, Mass., on Dec. 19, 1927, to James and Elizabeth (Cloran) Maloney. He grew up in Swampscott, Mass., and graduated from St. John's Prep in Danvers, Mass., and Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass. He lived in Hanover for many years before moving to Bedford.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1947 and was honorably discharged.
James was an insurance agent for many years. He founded and operated Maloney Associates in Hanover. He was a member of the Rotary Club in Hanover for many years.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
The family includes his wife of 65 years, Joan (Daley) Maloney, of Bedford; six children, James Jeffrey Maloney of Gloucester, Mass., John Philip Maloney and wife Gail of Bigfork, Mont., Susan Maloney of Dixville, Quebec, Canada, William Joseph Maloney and wife Lisabeth of Hanover, Mark Francis Maloney and wife Sharon of Auburn, and U.S. Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney and husband Randy Florke of Cold Spring, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Elizabeth Moulton.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Tuesday, March 31, from 3 to 6 p.m., at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford. Committal prayers will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 134 Broadway, Lynn, MA.
