Alan C. Crumb, 80, of Waterville, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. He was born May 18, 1934, in the Town of Brookfield, a son of Cecil and Ruth Marian McIntyre Crumb and received his education in Brookfield schools. Alan proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1955. He married Lucille (Baum) Gray. Alan was an electrical engineer with G.E. in Utica, Litton Data Systems in CA, and then ITT until his retirement. He enjoyed cooking, grocery shopping and garage sales. His favorite past time was woodworking and building things. He was a member of the Johnson-Rogers American Legion Post #1492 in Brookfield; the Brookfield Historical Society. Surviving are his wife, Lucille; his children, Diana and Ralph Keith of Brookfield; Steven Crumb of NJ; Susan and Charles Wilcox of Bridgewater; Joan and Kim Burres of FL; sisters, Doris (William) Blydenburgh of Syracuse; Linda McEvoy of Waterville; and Inez Washburn of Oneonta; step-children, Gary and Diane Gray of FL; Terry and Tammie Gray, and Elizabeth Gray, all of AZ; Lawrence and Georgianna Kimball of Blossvale; grandchildren, Adam Gendrow and Candace; Aaron Keith; Chad and Heather Williams; Jerrit and Jennifer Williams; Tesia, Tyra and Troy Crumb; and Andrina Thais Crumb Asuncion; great-granddaughter, Brylee Grace Williams; and several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Velma Crumb, and a brother-in-law, James McEvoy. Friends are invited and may call on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, (Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel) 210 E. Main St., Waterville, NY. A celebration of Alans life with Military Honors will be held at the conclusion of visitation. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
