FRANKFORT - Ms. Mary Ann Castellano, 80, of 131 E. Canal St., passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016, in St. Luke's Home with her family by her side.
She was born in Frankfort on February 3, 1936, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Carbone Castellano, and she attended Frankfort schools. Mary Ann was employed by Univac, Utica Plant, and later was a Sales Associate for OTB, Utica, until retirement in 2000 after 21 years of dedicated service. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the St. Francis Di Paolo Society Aux. and the Frankfort Republican Party.
Mary Ann is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Andrew La Porte, of Frankfort; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Rita De Santis, of Utica, and Margaret and Peter Sebregandio, of FL; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Patricia Castellano, of FL; her aunts, Helen Carbone, Vicky Carbone, Connie Sykes, Monica Hayden and Dorothy Luther; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Franky "Custy" Castellano; and two grandchildren, Arianna La Porte and Toran Williams.
Her funeral will be held Monday evening, at 7:00 PM, in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort, with Rev. Paul Catena, officiating. Interment, in Oak View Cemetery, will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Monday, November 14, from 4-7 PM, at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
