Clara R. Gonzales, 101, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Retama Manor in Harlingen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marciano Gonzales; children, Marciano "Mac" Jr., Delia Huerta, Baby Ruth Gonzales, Joe Gonzales, and Hector Gonzales; 3 sisters; and 5 brothers.
Clara is survived by her children, Gilberto "Gilbert" Gonzales, Maria Elena Canales (Abel), Rosa Juarez, Noemi Garza (Fred), Ruth Garcia (John), Sandra Villarreal, Homer Gonzales (Paula), Beto Gonzales (Beatrice), and Jaqueline Gonzales Cavazos; and 1 sister, Ester Serna (Arturo B.).
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel with Pastor Guillermo Enrique officiating. Interment will follow to Harlingen-Combes Cemetery.
Honored to serve at pallbearers are her sons and grandsons, Homer Gonzales, Danny Garza, Nicholas Alaniz, Steve Villarreal, Homer Gonzales, Jr., and Mac Gonzales.

The times I will never forget when my grandmother (Your daughter Delia) would always bring us to the valley in the summers myself, Mandy,and Justin how I cherish those moments that I will never forget. You wore an amazing lady you wore the one to start it all and I am thankful for that life is a blessing. Grandma, although biologically you were not my grandma, but I always saw you like one, may God carry you in His hands to Glory. You were so kind to me and always hugged and kissed me on the cheek. I will forever remember the good times we spent together in Harlingen and Houston. I love you and you will be missed. R.I.P. angel.
