Jorge Andrade Valdez
HARLINGEN, TX. -Jorge Andrade Valdez, 56, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. He was born on December 27, 1950 in Harlingen, Texas to Antonio Valdez and Socorro Andrade.
He attended Harlingen public schools, and was a professional painter. He served our country in the United States Army, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Jorge is survived by his wife, Maria G. Valdez of Harlingen; his mother, Socorro Leal of Harlingen; four children, Maria G. Valdez (Antonio De La Rosa) of Harlingen, Maria Trinidad (Pedro) Perez of Laredo; Jorge Valdez of Harlingen, and George (Tiffany) Valdez of MS; nine grandchildren, Marc De La Rosa, Diego De La Rosa, Jose De La Rosa, Casandra De La Rosa, Tyler Valdez, Brittany Valdez, Aurora Perez, Paubla Perez, and Pedro Perez; sister, Carmen Barbosa of Pasadena; and brothers, Valente Leal of Austin, and Israel Andrade of Matamoros.
Visitation will be held today, August 3, 2007 from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 7 P.M. at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
A mass of Christian burial will be held in his honor on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church at 10 A.M. with Rev. Deacon Manuel Sanchez officiating.
Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery in San Benito with full military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post 205 VFW 1040.
Honored to be pallbearers will be Lorenzo Andrade, Jr., Frank Andrade, Juan Andrade, Jorge Valdez, George Valdez, and Antonio De La Rosa.
