I worked with Mrs. Haynes when I first started teaching 17 years ago. At our campus, we will always remember her as the teacher who saved the pigeons! When pigeons fell off their nest out in the pavilion during P.E. class, everyone always knew that Mrs. Haynes would nurse them back to health and release them later. Also, she was always so willing to help us with our problem students. She'd always say to just send them over to her class for a while and she'd help make sure the work was done. She always had a smile on her face, but I'll never forget that she was the one who told me about 9/11. It was the only time I saw her serious. So many memories. May she rest in peace now.

My deepest condolences to Lucy's family! I went to school with Lucy at PSJA and had several classes with her. She was always smiling or laughing, which made her so much fun to be around. She was a very kind and caring person and I know she will be greatly missed. Farewell Lucy! Thanks for the wonderful memories!
