Eusebio Martinez Obituary
Eusebio Esparza Martinez, Jr., 50, of Oak View, died tragically in an automobile accident on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, in Fillmore.
Eusebio was born March 10, 1961, in Pecos, Texas. He was a floor covering installer with his brother-in-law Kevin St. Joseph Floor Covering for the past 10 years. Eusebio will be remembered for his great sense of humor, always smiling, laughing and joking. He was generous with his time and quick to offer help and hope to anyone he met. Eusebio was very artistic, known for his drawings, paintings pastels and pencil sketches. He was a regular at virtually all Starbucks in the county where he began his day with his coffee and friendly conversation. Eusebio was a loving dedicated husband, father and son.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 24 years, Marie Carmen Martinez; daughters, Elaina Martinez and Jessica Martinez, all of Oak View; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Tracy Martinez of Pollock Pines; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lydia and Kevin St. Joseph; brother-in-law, Ray Romero of Oak View; nieces, Tori, Alexa and Melissa. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pilar Esparza Martinez in March of 2011, and his father, Eusebio Martinez in 2004.
Visitation will take place 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, also at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, with Deacon Ed Mills of Our Lady of the Assumption Church officiating.

Jessica, Elaina, Marie,
I never knew anyone both more cheerful and hard working than Junior. To have him as a friend I was reminded to enjoy and be thankful for my life every minute. I know that if we heard from Junior today even in this circumstance he would put us at ease and make us smile because that is who he is. I am fairly certain that other than leaving us far too soon he would have had no regrets, and that he lived his life to the fullest every day.
I hope that you can ease your sorrow by knowing that he loved you fully and that you received and gave to him the greatest gift that we can give or receive of love. I know that you and the rest of us will keep the best of him in our hearts. We must choose to live our lives every day with a smile and in service and love to each other. If we can do that, Junior will remain with us throughout our lives.

Marie, I just found out about your husband I didn't make the connection, I am so sorry for your loss, I remember when I spoke with the two of you at Vons and you guys gave me some good suggestions for food to make for my mom who was dying of cancer at that time which was most appreciated...
