Lila Ross Obituary

Former longtime Ventura resident Lila Ross went to heaven Jan 5, 2008, in Tucson, Ariz. She was 72 years old.

Lila was born Nov. 8, 1935, in Chester, Ill., to Louis and Ollie Eggemeyer. She had been a resident of Ventura County for 29 years and was co-owner of Ventura RV Service Center for 25 years. In 2005, Lila moved to Sahuarita, Ariz.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Lila was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, George.

She is survived by her father and stepmother, Louis and Dottie Eggemeyer of Mesa, Ariz.; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Jill Eggemeyer of Mesa, Ariz.; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Terri Nevlin of Ventura, Jerry and Patty Nevlin of Gilbert, Ariz., Scott and Tryna Ross of Ventura; daughters, Kathy Browning of Camarillo and Tammy Azamar of Sahuarita, Ariz.; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Kirsten Ross of Maricopa, Ariz., George Jr. and Jacque Ross of Gilbert, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ross memorial fund, sent to Wayfarerer's Chapel Lutheran Church, 461 Third St., Fillmore, CA. 93015

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Wayfarerer's Chapel Lutheran Church, 461 Third St., Fillmore, CA 93015.

We were so sorry to hear about Lila passing. She was a dear friend. We had a lot of laughs and tears. She was a good Christian lady. I enjoyed her emails after she moved to ARizona. I will miss that. All her family is in our prayers. Doris and Ken Neil
