Manuel Estrada Amaro was born on November 26, 1943 in Zacatecas, Mexico and passed away at home on August 31, 2015 surrounded by his wife, sons and daughters. He was a resident of Oxnard for over 55 years and most of that time in the same house that his father , Manuel Perez Amaro, and his siblings built.

Manuel was a longtime parishoner of the Santa Clara Chapel in El Rio. He worked as a longshoreman and a facilities supervisor for the Becton & Dickenson for several years and spent the past two decades helping raise his grandchildren. Dads passion was his family , trips to Las Vegas and organizing BBQ parties for his family.

Manuel is survived by his loving and caring wife Jael Amaro, two sons Carlos (Lauren) and Gabriel Amaro, three daughters Sylvia Windham (Richard), Monica Eul (Paul) and Lisa Amaro, his grandkids Alexander Eul, Nicole and Brooke Norman, Abigail Windham and Caleb Amaro, his three brothers Jose, Jess and Richie and four sisters Pola, Sally, Adela and Yoli.

A viewing will be held on Friday September 4 from 4-8 pm with a Rosary to start at 7pm at the Santa Clara Chapel in El Rio, 1333 E. Ventura Blvd, Oxnard. Mass will be held on Saturday September 5 at 10am at the Santa Clara Chapel in El Rio with a graveside service to follow at the Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 N H St, Oxnard.

Deeps Sympathy and condolences to all of the family. I meant Manuel at Falcon Plastics (B-D Labware). Just heard about his pasting away today. He was a very dear and great friend. The last time I show and spoke to him was at Church where he and his wife attend. May he rest in pease.

RIP Tio Manuel. Some of my best memories were when the whole Amaro clan would come visit the Esqueda and Hernandez family on Flower St. in L.A. They all would be in this van that had carpet and plenty of room to fit all. Good times. My prayers and condolences go out to my aunt and cousins. We will miss you uncle Manuel.

My sincere condolences to the family of Manuel Amaro on his passing. I was truly sadden by the news of his passing. Manuel and I attended Oxnard High School together. We would always walk to school together each morning. Manuel was one of my best friend during that time. I had not seen Manuel since our high school years but will always have those fond memories of our friendship. May Manuel now rest in peace with our Heavenly Father as he was an honorable and respected person to all those he met. May God also bless all his family during this most difficult time.
