Richard Robertson Obituary

On Feb. 10, 2012, Richard Lawrence Robertson entered Eternity into the arms of his Savior.

He was born Feb. 20, 1930, in Passaic, N.J., to William and Mable Robertson. Dick attended North Hollywood High and while on the track and field team developed a love for the high jump. Through his athletics he received a scholarship to Oklahoma State University where he received a BA degree. He joined the Air Force in 1954 and spent some time as a weather observer in Alaska.

After his service he worked at Lockheed Aircraft where he met his wife, Teresa. From there he worked in the insurance industry for a stretch of time until he entered his life of ministry beginning at The Church on the Way. He continued in the Pastoral and Ministry of Helps position for the remainder of his life. Dick truly loved to help people.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa, of 51 years, his daughter, Heather, his son, Scot, his niece, Robin, and their respective families, and Julie, his sister-in-law.

His "Celebration of Life" service will be held at 10 a.m. this Saturday, Feb. 18, at Living Oaks Community Church, 1033 Business Center Circle, Newbury Park, CA 91320.
