Steven Santini Obituary

Steven "Steve" Henry Santini

Ventura - With great sorrow we announce the death of Steven (Steve) Henry Santini 76, of Ventura, California. He passed away on June 5, 2021. Steve was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Selma and Victor Santini on May 13, 1945. He went to high school at Huntington Park High School and graduate in 1959. He went on to receive both an undergraduate and master's degree from San Diego State studying social work. Steve also earned a PhD from Cambridge School of Professional Psychology. Steve had three sons Brian, Kenneth (deceased), and Seth. Steve was also blessed with grandchildren Estelle, Kianna, and Ray. Additionally, Steve was step-father to his wife Robin's daughter Kira and was a loving step-grandfather to her children Renee and Lyle. We would be remiss without mentioning what he called his fourth son his beloved dog Bear.

Steve began his career as a social worker as part of a crisis intervention team while working for the Los Angeles County Mental Health Department and then in the same role for the Metropolitan State Hospital. At the age of 30 Steve decided to step out and start his own business. Armed with nothing more than the support of his family, a few hundred dollars, and incredible drive and determination he was able to create what would become the successful Association for the Advance Training in the Behavioral Sciences (AATBS) in existence still to this day. During this work Steve would run around the county putting on workshops and other trainings for psychologists. Forever the businessman Steve loved his work and dedicated his life to it. After over two decades of running the business Steve decided to sell his company in an effort to spend more time with his family. Although Steve never was fully able to give up working in various capacities over the years selling the business allowed him to care for his entire family particularly his youngest son Seth during his formative years.

Steve lived a full and happy life. The outpouring the family has received is a testament to a life well lived. Steve was surrounding by many members of the family and friends throughout his last days. At his passing his wife Robin, brother Richard, and son Seth were present.

A Memorial Service for Steve will be held in the Temple Beth Torah Sanctuary on Thursday, June 10, at 2 p.m. It is also possible to attend the service virtually. Please call us at 805-794-2416 if you have any questions regarding attendance. Arrangements are under the direction of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, Ventura.
