My daughter got to have "Mr. Zachry" for an assistant PE teacher at South Bosque around 2005-2008. I was so impressed with his love for children and fun. I don't know of many Major League pitchers who would be interested in teaching PE to elementary students. He was definitely loved, and a favorite of the kids and parents too!
