Peter and I lived on Massasoit St. in Waltham. He and his family lived just next door. That was when we were in the 3rd grade. We went to Bright school. His mom looked after me as my mother was a single parent who worked.
Peter we had fond memories in those earlier times. You were a good friend. Sorry we lost touch over the years and wish you well along with your family. I always remembered your birthday12/3 as it was so close to mine which Dec 25. Sorry I missed the notice of your passing. I would have come.

We were one of the lucky few who got to call him our Papa. We loved him just as much as he loved us. We have some amazing memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our life. Please watch over us and we will watch over Nonni for you. Love your babies Sophia and Logan

Peter worked for me for many years and was always positive no matter what was going on in the world. When I visited him in the hospital a few weeks ago, he laughed and talked about our time working together while asking how everyone in my life was doing and proudly talking about his children. He was certainly one of a kind and will be missed by everyone he knew.

Dear PJ, Kaitlyn & Ani:
I didn't know any of you but through Peter I felt as if I did. I bought three cars from him but always felt more of a friendship than a commercial relationship. I know he talked to Kaitlyn about how I ranted to my students about the potential evils of credit cards (I teach Finance) and he kept a running tally on the exploits of my adopted daughter Ana as we'd swap stories. His smile and laugh were infectious—even if I'd heard the story before!
He was really a force of nature and one of life's true characters. I will miss him dearly as I'm certain you will, too. There is for sure a hole in the universe.
I wish you comfort in your time of grief and I hope you all find pleasant, healthy futures.
Peace,
Rick Swasey

Kind, caring, genuine, selfless...just a few words that come to mind when I think about Peter. I've been lucky enough to have known him for over ten years. During that time, I learned what the true meaning of friendship is. I will definitely miss the times that we just sat down and chatted about life. You always treated my family like your own, and you made me feel like I was a part of yours. I am forever grateful that you shared your kindness with me. May you rest in peace.
"Love you buddy."

If you looked up the definition for the most caring and selfless person you would find the name and photo of Peter. There are certain people that you meet that are so important and influence your life. Peter was one of those for me. My husband and daughter have both had health issues on and off over the past year and a half and no matter how sick Peter was he would ask me every day for updates and would give such love and support. He could just walk by my office and blow me a kiss or add his sense of humor by saying "really" in only a way Peter could. He was so proud of his family. You were not just his world but his entire universe. Peter - you will always be with me in my heart and will never be forgotten.

Peter my friend, you will be greatly missed. I will always remember your love of life and family, and will always think of you whenever I hear a Chicago song on the radio. You were a blast to work with and my life has been made richer just knowing you. You, "Squeege", and Kaitlyn are in my heart, thoughts and prayers...much love....Jeff Johnson

When I first met Peter, he greeted me with big smile and shook my hand. I remember my first thought was , "whoa, this guy has the softest hands EVER!" :)
I worked with him for almost 10 years. He watched me grow up. He was there to give me advice, listen, and always had a hug when I needed it the most. He was so much more than a co-worker, he was a friend. He helped me through one of the toughest times in my life, when I lost my 1st daughter. I know he will look for her now and keep an eye on her for me. Kiss Soraya for me, Petey!
I will never forget the look on his face when he found out I was pregnant again. We talked for many years about me "finally getting one of those" when it came to children. I did it, Petey, and she is perfect!
He had the best personality. So much love for his family. He talked about them so much, I felt like I knew them all too!
Peter, you will be greatly missed, my friend. Your memory will remain with me forever. Love you!

To the O'Malley Family:
Peter was a terrific human being. He was loyal, kind, funny, compassionate, professional and endearing. You should know that he set a positive example for everyone he came in contact with. He always cared more about other people than himself, and NEVER complained. When I went to visit him in the hospital, he diverted attention from himself by stating how happy he was, and instead inquired how I was doing. While he will be sorely missed, he will certainly not be forgotten. Peter, I will miss your presence , your humour and your zest for life.
Sincerely,
David Rosenberg

Peter was a GREAT person. He loved life and always had such nice things to say to me and my family. He made us feel that we were the most special family to him and I now see that he made EVERYONE feel that way. I taught him what the word "ish" meant and with that word it gave you an out or extra time. Peter will never die in my mind. He spread such sincere good around to all of us. He was, is, a RICH man in the real meaning of the word. God now has him sitting next to him I am sure... Ara Gechijian and family

I am one of the lucky ones that had the pleasure of knowing Peter. He was more than a coworker. He was someone that always pointed out the silver lining even in the worse of times. His outlook on life was to enjoy every moment with those close to his heart. The stories he told were priceless. His genuine care for my family and I will stay in our hearts. He will be missed.

Peter will be missed not just as a co-worker but as a family friend. It was nice when I saw Peter sitting in my chair when I pulled a car into my bay. He really enjoyed coming into the service dept. to hang out with the guys, see what was going on and to have a few laughs (actually many laughs). He had an unbelievable memory especially when it came to music. I appreciate the time that he would take out of his day to pull my son Nick aside to have a simple conversation and I know that he enjoyed doing it. Peter will be missed but definitely not forgotten. I know that his family is proud with the lives that he has touched! We are sorry for your lose. The Almeida Family
