Derrick R. Anderson, 25, of Wapakoneta, died Friday evening, May 15, 2015, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 14, 1989, in Lima, the son of Jeffrey W. and Marsha J. (Yost) Anderson. His mother survives in Metter, Ga., and his father survives in Uniopolis.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Aubrey M. Anderson and Jayden Braun; his friend, Tanya Braun; a brother, Jeremy A. (Kaila) Baker, of Spartanburg, S.C., his grandparents, Susan K. Yost ofTifton, Ga., Geraldine (Gene) Warner, of Lima, Charles (Brenda) Anderson, Williamsburg, Ohio, his great grandfather, Robert E. Winks, of Lakeview, Ohio; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald W. Yost.
Derrick worked as a diesel mechanic at Continental Truck Lines, Sidney. He attended Apollo Joint Vocational School and received an associate degree in Diesel Technology from University of Northwest Ohio, Lima. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, hunting, playing pool and participating in a pool league.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, state Route 501, Wapakoneta with Pastor Steven Nelson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
