Barbara Dunham Obituary

DUNHAM BARBARA J. DUNHAM Of Washington DC, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2008. Born 10/03/1931 in Indianapolis, IN, she earned her BA in English from George Washington University and her MA in English from Mills College, Oakland, CA. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Barbara had a multi- faceted career, however her years spent as Professor of English at George Washington, were her most cherished work. She was also Assistant Dean and Admissions Officer at Columbian College. Barbara is survived by seven nieces and nephews residing in Indiana and California. Barbara was an active volunteer at the Kennedy Center and the White House during the Clinton administration. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Barbara‘s life on Monday, January 14, 2008 in the Community Room at the Potomac Plaza, 2475 Virginia Ave., NW from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington DC 20566 or the F. W. Olin Library at Mills College, 5000 MacArthur Blvd., Oakland CA 94513.
