ELIZABETH Ann BRUCE (Age 102)

Peacefully at her home in Derwood, MD on Friday, August 11, 2023. Born March 31, 1921 in Bridgeport, PA to the late Bertha Andrey and John Mardi. She was one of nine children.



Beloved wife of the late Tracey K. Bruce, Jr.; Devoted mother of Sandra L. Bruce and Tracey M. Bruce (wife, Virginia).



Liz was an active member of Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church and did volunteer work in the community and with her children's schools. Liz took great pleasure working in her garden. She loved watching University of Maryland Women's & Men's basketball games and the Washington Commanders. To Liz, family was most important. She was a second mother to two of her nieces. In recent years, her caregivers enriched her quality of life, including Jennifer Bartlett, Linda Woodward, and her medical caregiver Nana Agyemang.



Service will be held at Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church, 610 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. (Family will receive friends one hour prior from 10 to 11 a.m). Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
