On Wednesday, April 7,2004, JACK SHER of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Sylvia Sher; devoted father of Ilene (Jeff) Hertz, Susan (Bruce Dearbaugh) Sher and Mindy (Sam) Kaufman; dear brother of Allen Sher and Florence Stafford-Berkowitz; loving grandfather of Michael and Bennett Hertz and Joshua Kaufman. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2004, 12:30 p.m. at King David Memorial Garden, Falls Church, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Hospice, 1450 Research Blvd., Suite 310, Rockville, MD 20850 or to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058. Arrangements entrusted to TORCHINSKY HEBREW FUNERAL HOME, 202-541-1001 (endorsed by the Rabbinical Council of Washington).

Our family (Shechtman) wants to express our sympathy in the passing of one of our favorite neighbors, Mr. Sher. He was a very nice man and my brother and I enjoyed growing up in the same neighborhood with the Sher family.
