I only knew Jim very briefly but we worked together for 76th Infantry Division's last reunion in 2008 and Jim played a major role in making it memorable for the 300 attendees. God Bless Jim...

Peggy, I would so love hearing from you and I'm sure we're one of many. It seems forever since we were with your Mom and Dad and on the other
hand we can't believe it's been almost 11 years. We loved them and enjoyed
them so much, but not nearly enough. We were with them September 2008
and never dreamed that would be our last time with your Dad. We'd so love
an update on how folks are doing. I know that your Mom was born 2-18-23
and Wayne was 2-19-26. We enjoyed celebrating those birthdays together.
Your Dad's birthday was 5-30-23 and mine 5-28-40, more joint celebrations.
How is your Mom doing? I can't believe that Wayne is going on 94 and that
would make your Mom going on 97. Wayne's Dad passed at 54 and both
brothers at 48 and 58, all drop dead heart attacks with no warnings.
Wayne and I've been married 52 years and Wayne says, "I REALLY FOOLED YOU", I'm counting my blessings that he did. We are both doing pretty
good, especially when you look around at so many rough situations folks
are dealing with. Peggy is your phone still 301-881-1607? Mine is
561-745-2277 and [email protected] for emailing. I sure would
love hearing from you and getting caught up. How are Susie and Jimmy
and families? Thanks for this memory page of your Dad.
Loved them so much.

All who worked for Mutual Of Omaha and Tele-Trip respected and loved Mr. Barrett. He was a great leader and did a wonderful job as well for the USO. I was fortunate enough to be on that board and work with him for this great cause. He loved his wife and family and talked often about his grandchildren telling funny stories about their personalities. My husband and I send our sincere condolances.

Dear Jim and Heather-
We are so saddened by this news. Both of us were so glad we had a chance to meet your Dad at the baseball game this summer. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We know he was a special guy, and we are thinking about you and send our love. Sincerely, Cris and Cindy

So sad to hear this. Marialyce (Barrett) Tobin notified us. A graceful and family oriented man has left us. May God bless James and his family.

Peggy, thanks for letting me know about this site. We are, especially now, counting our blessings that we were able to get with your Mom and Dad on Sept. 10th while visiting from Florida. We had a great day and all we can say for now is, dear Lord, "THANKS FOR THOSE LAST PRECIOUS MEMORIES".
I'll be sending pictures, to your Mom, of that special day we spent together. We loved your Dad and will miss him so very much in so many ways.
Our love and prayers are with you and the family, especially your Mom, please give her a special hug for us.

Just found this on the Web. Gretchen told me her daughter got it. We don't have time to make travel arrangements and so will go to church here. Our prayers are with you. Love, Bob, Luise and Gretchen
