JAMES BRIAN BLAKELY
On Thursday, April 25, 2013, JAMES BRIAN BLAKELY of Chevy Chase, MD. Husband of Caroline Blakely; father of Daniel James and Anne Louise. Also survived by his mother Mary Louise (nee Ashe) Blakely; two brothers and a sister, William (Diane), Sarah Blakely and Paul (Rosie). Friends and relatives are invited to call at Joseph Gawler's Sons, 5130 Wisconsin Ave. NW (corner of Harrison Street) Washington, DC on Sunday, April 28, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Services will be held at the Church of the Little Flower, 5607 Massachusetts Ave., Bethesda, MD on Monday, April 29, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Society of Physicians Entrepreneurs Foundation c/o Dr. Arlen Myers, 356 Albion Street, Denver, CO 80220

I worked with Jim for several years. He made time to always be a great listener. He had a great sense of humor and a great chuckle and smile when he was laughing. He talked well about everyone and was a great marketer and writer as well. Thanks for all the advice throughout the years.

Jim was the younger brother of one of my best friends from high school. He showed a lot of promise early on and looks to have led a rich life in many respects. We extend our sympathies to his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Jim for a few short years and will remember him for his "balance", smile and always had something strapped around his neck! Good people are hard to come by, even harder to loose. Jim always left an imprint with whomever he met. May peace find his family and friends.
