James Coleman Obituary
Born July 1, 1980, he was the son of Debra Brandon and Joe L. Burnette.
He was a member of the New Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Greensboro.
He was married to Lakia C. Coleman.
In addition to his mother, of Milton, his father, of Durham, and his wife, of the residence, he is survived by four children, Micah White, Jaylen, Andrea, Aniya Coleman, all of the residence; his stepfather, Cleveland D. Brandon of Roxboro; two sisters, Lamonica Brandon and Victoria Brandon, both of Milton; grandparents, Willie J. and Joanne Coleman and Ola J. Coleman.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at the memorial building in Yanceyville with the Rev. Darryl Napper Sr. officiating. There will be a one hour viewing before the service. Interment will be at Saint James Baptist Church in Leasburg.
There will be at viewing noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Plenty Funeral Home Chapel.
Plenty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In my heart Lamont is not gone but just taking a vacation. He will always hold a special place in my heart as my little drummer boy. To his family I wish you all the best of luck and I will always keep you in my prayers. Hold on because we will all be with him on the other side oneday.

We are saddened to learn of the loss of James L. Coleman. Though we did not know him, we have been deeply blessed by knowing his brother, Rodney Coleman. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult and sad time.
