You were a mentor who shared your wisdom freely and gave from your heart. You were a role model who made us all strive to be better at work, as family members and as citizens. You had a joke for every occasion and filled our lives with laughter. You shared your knowledge which in turn we shared with hundreds of others. You inspired so many people, the difference you made in this world is monumental. Our lives are enriched because you were part of them. You are loved and missed more than words can say. Our thoughts and our hearts go out to your family and all the people who feel the profound loss of your passing. May peace always be with those whose lives you touched, we are the most fortunate to have known you. You will always be remembered.

RADM Forrest was a true leader whom I respected very much. He truly cared about all of the troops. RADM Forrest used his sense of humor appropriately to make one feel at ease in his presence. I am a better officer for having known him. My deepest sympathy to his family, we will miss him very much. Take comfort in knowing that he is watching over us now.

You were the best father a daughter could ever have. Even at 95, you were taken too soon. Thank you for providing our family with a wonderful life filled with open doors and endless opportunities. How lucky we were to have had you as our father. Loving and missing you always, Ellen
