Lawrence Glass Obituary



GLASS LAWRENCE DAVID GLASS (Age 67) On July 21, 2008, died at his home in Great Falls, VA after a long time battle with diabetes and heart complications. He was born on December 6, 1940 in Mentor, OH to the late Jessie O., Jr. and Anita Coleman Glass. Lawrence was an United States Air Force veteran serving from 1959 to 1962. He then went on to graduate from John Carroll University in 1966 and received his Master‘s degree from Ohio State in 1966. He was an actor in plays at Brush High school and Ohio State where he played the lead role in “A Man for All Seasons”. He then moved to Washington DC in 1966 where he worked for several U.S. Senators including Robert Kennedy from 1966 to 1968. Starting in the 1970‘s Lawrence began his 30 year career with the Federal Government. He was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Lawrence was the beloved husband of 35 years of Donna Kay Glass; loving and devoted father of Danny Glass and his wife Lindsay of Ashburn, VA and David Glass of Great Falls, VA; brother of Bonnie Jean Glass of Tuscan, AZ; proud grandfather of Amber Grace Glass. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 28 at 10 a.m. at Smith‘s Chapel United Methodist Church, Great Falls, VA. Interment will immediately follow at Smith Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements by Adams-Green Funeral Home, Herndon, VA.
