Today is Monday April 28, 2008. It is five years exactly to the lost of a Dear and Beloved Friend. At least two or three times a week I remember something funny that he said, because my friend had an enornmous sense of humor, an amazing sense of self and the heart of a Bear. Never will there be another as Willie Thomas Jr.

Willie you always be here in spirit no matter what. Willie was a co-worker and a good friend I met at Garfinckel's (Georgetown Park) We had great times together there. I will miss his smile and laugh. I remember the day he picked up Dexter Manley of the Redskins and carried him down the stairs like a bag of potatoes. You will be missed.
God Bless - Jim Murphy

I met Willie while we worked for DC Government. We were friends and I will miss him all the rest of my days. If I had to recall one thing about him it would be that although he was a large man, he was gentle. He was a person worth knowing and I thank Heaven that I had the chance to do so.

God bless the wonderful Willie Thomas who gave so much to his beloved football players at Sidwell Friends School, one of whom is my son, Alex Footman. Willie was a mentor, a friend, a role model, and an outstanding coach who taught the boys much about football and much about life. He will be deeply missed and he will be remembered always. Go with God, Willie, Ann Procter
