"Loving father & grandfather"

Alexander M. Vincitorio, 95, of Waterbury, entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, November 2, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rosemary (Santopietro) Vincitorio for 63 wonderful years.

Alexander was born in Hudson, New York, on April 21, 1930, son of the late Michael of Campobasso, Italy and Sylvia (Saraceni) Vincitorio of Faugia, Italy.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. States Army.

Alex was a graduate of Leavenworth High School and went on to achieve an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Hartford. He worked at both Chase Brass and Copper Company and The Waterbury Buckle.

Alexander's greatest accomplishment was that of a Loving & devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a graceful demeanor, an innate wisdom, a thoughtful way and a great sense of humor. Alex was talented in so many arenas, could fix anything, and was a gifted craftsman in woodworking and glass. He loved food, eating out, attending his grandchildrens' sporting activities, celebrating every holiday and spending time with family and friends.

Alex was an original member of the well-known "Mall Walkers" at the Brass City Mall and found his fifteen minutes of fame alongside his co-horts, Armand, Don, Carmine, John, Val, Lou, Lee and Joan whom he thoroughly enjoyed.

Alexander was a loving, easy-going man who will be deeply missed.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory three adoring children, Nori Ann Vincitorio of Boston, Marci Vincitorio Patulak and her husband Tull, of West Cornwall, and Alec Vincitorio and his wife, Mary, of Middlebury.

He was proudest that his legacy will be carried on by his three treasured grandchildren, Tull Alexander Patulak and Joshua and Lorelei Vincitorio. He also leaves behind his dear sister-in-law, Carol Nelson and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Arrangements: Funeral will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, 10:00 a.m from Chase Parkway Memorial/ The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
