Ian Scott Ballas

1995 - 2018

Ian Scott Ballas, 23, of Augusta, died April 7, 2018, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born March 12, 1995, in Rushville, to Brad and Jodi Heaton Ballas.

Ian was a 2012 graduate of Southeastern High School. He was employed at NTN Bower in Macomb. Ian enjoyed hunting, fishing and any outdoor activities. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family especially his son, Brogen.

He is survived by his son, Brogen; his parents, Brad and Jodi Ballas of Birmingham; two sisters, Kaylee (Eric) Ussery of Augusta and Sydnie Ballas of Birmingham; a nephew, Eli Ussery of Augusta; maternal grandparents, Janice Roberts of Augusta and Joe (Pam) Heaton of Rushville; paternal grandmother, Teresa Ballas of Augusta; maternal great-grandmother, Edith Lee of Golden; two aunts, Tonya Anderson and Amanda Conover; two uncles, Jeremy (Keshia) Heaton and Corey (Constance) Roberts; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by an uncle, Jeff Heaton; paternal great-grandparents, Bob and Maxine Twaddle; and maternal great-grandparents, Bud and Babe Heaton and Mark Stambaugh.

SERVICES: 1 p.m. Friday, April 13, at the Plymouth Circle Community Center (former Plymouth Methodist Church) in Plymouth, with the Rev. Jerry Taylor conducting. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery in Vermont, Ill.

VISITATION: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the Plymouth Circle Community Center.
