Janet L. Webb, age 88, of Quincy, died Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 8:20 am in Sunset Home.
Jan was born February 28, 1936, in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Walter and Thelma White Campbell. In 1954 she married Robert Charles Webb on in BelleFonte, PA. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2022.
Jan was born and raised in Palmerton, PA, and graduated from SS Palmer High School in Palmerton. She attended Penn State University and was a huge Nittany Lions fan. In 1964, the Webb family relocated to Quincy so that Bob could oversee the construction of Prince Minerals. Jan was a stay-at-home mom until her children were old enough for her to return to the workforce. She was Volunteer Coordinator at Blessing Hospital for over 30 years where she helped to establish the Quincy Hospitality House. She loved working with the Chaplaincy and other volunteers. She was a well-known and active member of the Quincy community. Jan enjoyed her retirement years and lived them to the fullest. She was a member of the Quincy City Club. Jan had many wonderful friends and cherished the time spent with each and every one. She especially loved those she met and befriended while playing bridge over the years. Jan also had many loving dogs over the years, including Sam, Nelson, and Rusty
Survivors include a son, Charles Webb of Saint Charles, MO, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Robert, Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Thelma Campbell; a daughter, Catherine Webb; and a brother, Walter Campbell.
Visitation: 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Friday April 19, 2024, at St. John's Anglican Parish.
Memorial Service: 11:00 am Friday, April 19, 2024, at St. John's Anglican Parish, with Rev. Patrick Smith officiating. Private inurnment in Woodland Cemetery at a later date.

I enjoyed working with Jan while establishing the Hospitality House. She was so dedicated and patient while still exhibiting her sense humor. I am privileged to have known and worked with her. Prayers for your family
